Clap for the VAGINA!
Every time we have the vagina up, there is so much laughter in the room! It was no different with the girls at St. Joseph’s Primary School. Many of them felt shy just hearing about the different holes a woman has and what each one does. They couldn’t help looking at each other, and holding back the giggles.
Our translator for the day, Mrs. Kate, was just so good at helping the girls understand and appreciate that their bodies and especially their vaginas, are something to be celebrated, not shied away from. Several times she asked the girls to clap for the vagina because it is not only beautiful, but also where we all came from.
Talking about the vagina is always vulnerable but also fun at the same time. It reminds us about how amazing and powerful our bodies are.
